Hamids solo show
Hamids solo show neemt je mee op een muzikale reis, waarin bluesy interpretaties van Perzische folk songs op resonator gitaar en mondharmonica afgewisseld worden met meditatieve ragas op Indiase slide gitaar. Hamids concert laat je wegdromen naar een wereld waarin muzikale grenzen versmelten en een brug geslagen wordt tussen oost en west. Biborder is bijzonder geschikt voor intiemere settings, zoals living room concerts. Op grotere podia, zoals festivals, wordt hij begeleid door percussie.
Hamid bracht in het voorjaar van 2025 zijn nieuwe album Blues for Leila uit. Dit instrumentale album bevat eigen composities in zijn kenmerkende Persian blues-stijl op resonator gitaar en mondharmonica, evenals meditatieve raga’s met een bluesy twist op Indiase slide gitaar. Percussionisten Suresh Sardjoe op tabla en Pouriya Jaberi op daf en bendir dragen bij aan de muzikale diepgang. Unleash your imagination and embark on a captivating journey.Composer and alto clarinetist Steven Kamperman wrote a new soundtrack for Lotte Reiniger’s magical 1926 animated film Die Abenteure des Prinzen Achmeds, the first full-length animated film from the early years of cinema. Not drawn, as with Disney, but cut to dazzling detail! Using the filmed stories from 1001 Nights as a guide, the music is also inspired by the oriental tradition, with Kamperman drawing on his decades of experience with Turkish and Arabic maqams. But those who know his work know that it always has many layers and twists. Thus, in between the melodic richness, contemporary composed sounds and spicy improvisations create a multi-colored universe. Kamperman also wrote a small overture before the film, which in the best operatic tradition already prepares the visitor for what is to come. The compositions are now recorded, and the CD includes a beautifully designed booklet that presents the story of Prince Achmed, accompanied by captivating images from the film. De Niemanders
Sinds maart 2024 maakt Hamid deel uit van de band De Niemanders. De Niemanders is een initiatief van Rocco Ostermann en Wout Kemkens, waarbij zij samen met producer Rick Wiegerinck op zoek gaan naar muzikale verhalen vanuit de hele wereld. Tussen december 2022 en januari 2024 bezocht het collectief De Niemanders asielzoekerscentra in Nederland op zoek naar zangers, muzikanten en hun muziek. De samenwerking met nieuwkomers, vluchtelingen en anderen heeft geresulteerd in een album vol krachtige, rauwe nummers en dansbare prikkelende elementen. Een creatieve wonderstamppot van veelkleurige muziek die laveert tussen swingende afrobeat, high life, desert rock, rootsy pychedelica en alternatieve rock. In september 2024 kwam hun nieuwste album De Niemanders II uit. In 2025 spelen zij met hun live show op verschillende festivals en podia: Eurosonic Noorderslag, Paradiso, ’t Paard en Doornroosje.
